Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO YOU BOOK?

A: I can start working with you at any stage in the planning process, most people book 9-18 months in advance.

Q: HOW DO WE OFFICIALLY RESERVE OUR DATE?

A: I require a signed contract and deposit; once I receive both of those, I’m all yours!

Q: I DON’T LIVE IN THE UK, CAN YOU STILL HELP?

A: Absolutely yes! My couples span the world so if a face-to-face meeting isn’t possible then we will get to know each other via video call or email. Many couples love the history of Oxford and quintessential Cotswolds but don’t know much about the area and the best wedding suppliers.

Q: HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU WORK ON AT ONCE?

A: A large amount of time is devoted to every wedding I undertake, with this in mind I only take on a limited number of full planning weddings per year.

Q: DO YOU TAKE COMMISSION FROM WEDDING SUPPLIERS YOU BOOK?

A: Some wedding planners do but for me it’s an absolute no no! Its important that every supplier on your wedding day is part of the wider Katie Lou Weddings team and give 110% to your wedding.

Q: WE ARE INTERESTING IN USING A WEDDING PLANNER WHAT WOULD THE FIRST STAGE BE?

A: The very first port of call would be to check your wedding date and my availability. I will then send you our service guide which lists all our services and fees. We can then set up a no obligation, in depth phone or video consultation. From this I will establish how best to create your perfect wedding day. I will listen to what you have to say and ask lots of questions. You may already have a vision for your dream day but if not, we will find it together. We believe that your wedding should be a reflection of who you are as a couple.

Q: WHAT INVESTMENT AM I LOOKING AT?

A: The investment varies according to the package; I am very transparent and work on a fixed fee basis, all services show the investment.

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR WEDDING PLANNING TOP TIPS?

·        Number one job, write your guest list - this is vital when picking a venue/size of marquee

·        Make it about you - you will never please everyone so don't try it's your day. The look, the ceremony, the food, the music should all be a reflection of you as a couple

·        Make a wet weather plan, the Great British weather may have other plans for your special day and you should be prepared

·        Have an emergency kit for the day with sun cream, nappies, plasters, pain killers, etc in it
