As the year draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey that 2024 has been. With 15 beautifully unique weddings, countless bottles of champagne popped and more wedding cake sampled than I care to admit, it’s been a year to remember. From heartfelt personal touches to logistical challenges and everything in between, here’s a roundup of the wonderful couples and celebrations that made this year so special.

Eleanor & Lawrence

Set in the heart of a deer park in Hampshire, Eleanor and Lawrence’s marquee wedding at the bride’s family home was nothing short of magical. Captured beautifully by the talented Millie Pilkington (yes, the royal photographer!), the couple were perfectly at home with their pet deer, Inchy and Eliza. One of the most touching moments was Eleanor’s wedding dress, embroidered with meaningful words from her late grandfather and her groom. Personal touches like these made the day truly unforgettable.

Natalie & Ben

Natalie and Ben’s wedding was a first for me at the stunning Danesfield House, and what a debut it was! Despite a personal low point for me (navigating food poisoning behind the scenes) the day came together beautifully. A standout detail was the incredible cake by The Mouse and the Cake in Henley, which featured the couple’s beloved dog, a truly personal and fun touch.

Georgie & Martin

Back at Newington House for Georgie and Martin’s marquee wedding, the energy and vibe were unforgettable. Hosted in a stunning Sperry tent by Original Marquees, the couple added a personal touch by creating bespoke limericks for each guest. The bridesmaids rocked mismatched dresses, perfectly on trend, while Georgie’s breath taking second dress complete with a show stopping giant bow for dancing, stole the spotlight. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Georgie shared a heartfelt waltz with her grandpa.

Rebecca & Max

Doctors Rebecca and Max tied the knot with a stunning marquee wedding at Rousham House. The unique tri-cone marquee design proved invaluable during a sudden downpour, keeping everyone cosy and dry. The day featured a host of personal touches, including a much loved ice cream cart, the legendary shot ski, sweetie bags in football team colours and mini anaesthetic themed favours, a clever and fun nod to their shared profession!

Gordon & Vilma

Gordon and Vilma’s Oxford celebration was a perfect blend of tradition and joy. Their heartfelt ceremony at Lincoln College Chapel was followed by an elegant reception at the Bodleian Library. The timeless white-and-green décor set the stage for a lively evening, capped off with spirited Lithuanian dancing that had everyone on their feet.

Amanda & Paul

Amanda and Paul’s Cotswolds wedding was the wedding of dreams. A horse and cart whisked them off to the church, their reception was at their new home in a stunning marquee from Peacock and Bow. With flawless catering from Oxford Fine Dining and elegant white florals by Corky and Prince, every detail was impeccably executed, creating a truly unforgettable day.

Astrid & SAM

This wedding will always hold a special place in my heart. I had the joy of being a guest as my brother Sam married the wonderful Astrid at Broughton Castle Church. The day was filled with love and unforgettable moments: the London Gospel Choir, delicious food by Freespirit Events, heartfelt speeches and glow-stick-filled dancing that lit up the night.

Jessica & David

Jessica and David brought their families to Oxford, the city where their love story began. Their wedding celebrations were a multi-day affair, starting with a rooftop terrace dinner at The Store, a traditional afternoon tea at David’s college and brunch at their favourite deli. The wedding day itself featured a beautiful church ceremony followed by a vintage bus ride to the Cherwell Boathouse. The couple made a grand entrance by punt, while guests enjoyed live music, Ben’s cookie favours and a delicious cake from Barefoot Bakery.

Maddie & Alex

July tested my wedding planning skills to the limit when Maddie and Alex’s marquee company went into administration just days before their big day. After a few sleepless nights, I secured a replacement marquee, furniture and lighting - the couple’s wedding was saved. I truly felt like a wedding superhero! Big thanks to Ross and Ross Events who worked wonders with the outdoor dining setup despite the ever-unpredictable English weather.

Claire & Joe

Claire and Joe’s wedding at the bride’s parents’ mill house went off without a hitch, thanks to my amazing team. Claire brought London chic to the Cotswolds with her 29 Atelier dress from Ellie Sanderson Bridal. Created by designer Elizabeth Ruddick, the label is all about couture-inspired contemporary bridalwear with a string focus on sustainability. Gorgeous gowns that are good for the planet, what's not to love?

Zoe & Tom

Zoe and Tom’s Oxford wedding combined timeless elegance with heartfelt details. The day began with a church ceremony and continued with a stunning marquee reception at the Botanic Gardens. Highlights included beautiful blooms by Flowers by Kirsty, lively entertainment from Blue Lion Band, and delicious catering by Greens. A special mention goes to Dewinton Paper Co., whose bespoke stationery featured illustrations of the couple’s pets, adding a truly personal touch.

Abby & Kofi

Planning Abby and Kofi’s wedding in just four months was a whirlwind, but the results were worth every second. Their Rhodes House celebration was filled with happiness, featuring Jewish catering by Marc Sharer, traditional garden games and music by Sugarbumps. The staircase and sunset photos, captured beautifully by Hollie and Karen from Amara Grace Photography, were definite highlights of the day.

Lucy & Dom

The August Bank Holiday saw Lucy and Dom’s marquee wedding at home, featuring a heartfelt blessing in the orchard beneath a stretch tent and a reception in yurts provided by Cheltenham Yurt Hire. Guests enjoyed mini golf, a delicious tapas feast, live music and a spectacular fireworks display, creating a truly magical and long-awaited celebration.

Jess & Will

Jess and Will’s elegant wedding began at Brasenose College Chapel, where a string quartet set the tone for the day. A drinks reception followed in the picturesque College quad before the celebration moved to the Bodleian Library for a reception and charming mini cake feast.

Ann & Dan

Wrapping up the year, Ann and Dan infused their wedding at the Bodleian Library with a playful nod to their love of diving. The day featured whimsical "Under the Sea" music inspired by The Little Mermaid and creative mini aquariums woven into the stunning tablescape.
